Caring Ministries
Care Partners
Care Partners are trained and equipped church members who pray for, are available to, contact at least once each month and are an example for a designated group of church members. If you would like to have a Care Partner or would like to be a Care Partner to another, please contact Karen Engel at 426-3988.
Prayer Chain
Prayer Chain is a group of Aley members who will pray for others. It is a phone group and an email group. If you would like to be part of this ministry, contact Barb Robison.
Grief Ministry
Grief Ministry sends condolence cards, provides helpful books and pamphlets as well as assisting the UMW in a funeral dinner for the family.
Telecare
Health Ministry
Health Ministry is a ministry to the physical needs of the church members. They conduct a Health Fair once each year, provide blood pressure screenings monthly, provide CPR training and AED training at least twice each year. They have donated medical equipment available to loan. They always need people with nurse’s training to help. If you would like to be part of this ministry, call Kim Weisenberger.
Visitation Team
Visitation Team is a ministry to church members who are in the hospital long-term or are shut-ins due to surgery or illness. If you can’t commit to being a Care Partner, but are willing to visit people, contact Karen Engel at 426-3988
College-aged Ministry
College-aged Ministry keeps in touch with our recent graduates as they go to college. We send cards at birthdays and encouragement cards for test times. Deborah Heidrich is the coordinator.
Hearts and Hammers
Hearts and Hammers are a group of volunteers who provide small repairs and yard work for the elderly or people with physical limitations. For assistance or to volunteer for this ministry, contact Karen Engel at 426-3988.
Telecare is a ministry that contacts church members when they have not been in attendance for 4 consecutive weeks. Tammy Cochran is the coordinator.
