Hi, my name is Ken Kirk and I am the Pastor of the Aley United Methodist Church. I believe that each Christian should have a body of believers to call home and I mean home: a place where you belong, a place where people know you and appreciate you. A place where not only do you go to grow but also a place where you go to share your God given talents, abilities, gifts and service.

At Aley, we seek a wide variety of talents and look forward to your sharing them with us.

 

I am a former career Army Chaplain.  I value taking care of my people, supporting them, encouraging them and going as a team to face the challenges of tomorrow. I value your children. I want them to see Aley as their church as well as you seeing it as your church. I want them to be able to share their talents and be affirmed as they do so.

 

We believe in having fun as a family of God. We laugh together as well as pray together.

 

My preaching is the traditional doctrines of the Christian church. I hold myself to the standard of  preaching sermons that can be utilized in the next 48 hours of life or the sermon failed. At Aley the sermons are practical and with humor.

 

Family: I have a wife, Jo, two grown children and two grandchildren.

 

Education:

- BA from Adrian College, Adrian MI

- Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH.

 

Hobbies: Both Jo and I are pilots and fly our private aircraft.
