Missions

Aley’s Vision includes the premise that its people will be engaged in “…sacrificially serving locally, regionally, nationally, and globally through risk-taking mission and service.” We are also guided by the words of Jesus Christ in Acts 1:8:“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”Using these guidelines, the Aley Church Council has approved the following mission plan for 2012:

Local community

To help the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) combat homelessness in Greene County through funding and service.

Regional

To encourage youth mission service, financial commitment is made to Aley member Sally Diesslin for grant funding toward her 2.5-year commitment to Purdue Christian Campus House.

National

For Disaster Relief, $5,000 raised in 2011 will be carried over to 2012 for training and equipping a team.

Global

Support for Guido and Kim Orellana and their development of outreach programs at Camp Pallatanga, Ecuador
